Day 9-13 | 2 Week Weightloss Challenge!

I’m not exactly happy to be writing this post, but then again, I choose to always be 100% honest with you guys. I’m not perfect and I never have been, I struggle just as much as anyone when it comes to sticking to a great exercise and diet progam. Like so many others, I have a tendency to prioritize my work above anything else, and it really affects my results when I don’t have enought time to sleep, train and rest. I believe that’s what makes me a great trainer – it’s not easy for me so I know the struggles my clients face – but it can also be frustrating at times!

I really wanted to do this challenge 100% an do daily blogs about my progress, and even though I haven’t kept up with the blogging I did keep up with the training and dieting for the most part.

I recently started as a freelance personal trainer, which means I’m living on 100% comission. Uøve been fotunate enough to quickly become very busy (to the point where i’m practically fully booked- yay!) and the only problem with this situation is, that it leaves very little time for me to sleep, train and update my blog.

It also takes a lot of adjustment to sleep right after getting home i the evening (I reach home around 10/10:30 pm), to make sure I get enough sleep to function, even though I have to wake up at 5 am the next morning. Last week I did not do well with that part, meaning I was functionng on 3,5-5 hrs of sleep every day for a week. I gave up on nap time to go to the gym and do cardio and a light weight session, but I was so tired and fatigued that my workouts weren’t very effective. I felt extremely bloated every day despite doing my workouts and sticking t a hathy diet, just because my body wasn’t getting a proper amount of rest.

When I reached the weekend and finally had time to sleep, meal prep and train I was just SO TIRED. I had a few plans with friends and apart from  that I just slept. I was too drained to make it to the gym and my body was demanding me to stay in bed.

I’m actually really disappointed in myself for not following through on the challenge, and I’ve decided to continue for another week with slight adjustments. I have to respect my body and give it proper rest, so I will cut down on the training and be more strict woth my diet. I’ll keep updating you guys as often as I can, hopefully every day starting tomorrow with my weigh in and a log of todays food and workouts.

How are you guys been doing? Are you facing challenges like me, or have you been able to stick with the program? Comment below and let me hear your thoughts!

    Knus Mette
