Day 2 | 2 Week Weightloss Challenge!

Morning weight: 81,8 kg. (up 1 kg. from yesterday. Probably because I didn’t get enough sleep.)

Day 2 was just one of those days… I only had 5,5 hours of sleep, broke my nail shortly after waking up, was running late for everything all day and nothing seemed to go my way… I tried really hard to change my vibe and get in a more positive state of mind, but as the day went on, more bad things started to happen and just I couldn’t snap out of my worried mindset.

To quickly sum it up, there’s been a lot of change in my life lately, especially professionally. I’m now basically a freelance personal trainer in Dubai, meaning I no longer get a salary – instead I actually have to pay for my work visa every month! After being on a salary for almost 2 years it’s kinda scary… I have so many bills to pay, and I’m all alone… Right now I’m honestly terrified and really worried about how it’s gonna go.

I’ve been a personal trainer for about 5 years now, and I’ve always been busy and never really struggled to make a living from it, but we are going into the quiet summer time right now and Dubai is just such an expensive place to live… But why wouldn’t it work out? It always does. As long as you have faith that it will be ok, it will be. I have a strong believe in that.

I do feel incredibly blessed to be a freelance hatha yoga teacher and personal trainer in beautiful Dubai. I love training my clients and I love living in a place with enternal summer weather (even though I would like to escape the heat from june-august tbh)
Counting my blessings and appreciating what I have, while working for what I want. That will be my motto for the next few months!

Other than that, I did surprisingly well with my diet and training today. I struggled through my whole workout and was so close to cutting my cardio short or/and skipping glutes. But I made it through, and even though the glute workout was a bit alternative bc I was pressed for time, it was a really effective workout. I can still feel it!

Once again I didn’t track my food properly an I’m above my target 1500 cals once again, but I only had healthy, nourishing food today and that’s an accomplishment considering I’ve been working and working out all day on only 5,5 hours of sleep!


Food log:

Breakfast (9 am)
Supersmoothie made of:
– 1 small banana
– 50 g. frozen spinach
– 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
– 1 tbsp Chlorella
– 1 tbsp Spirulina
– 1 tbsp Bodylab Greens
– 1 tbsp chia seeds
– 1 tsp Liquid Omega 3
– 1 dl low fat milk
– 3 g. L-Glutamine
– a few drops liquid sweetener

Lunch (1 pm)
– 40 g. rolled oats
– 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
– 1 small banana
– 1/2 apple
– 15 almonds
– 1 dl. low fat milk

Snack (4:30 pm)
200 g. baby carrots

Dinner (5 pm)
– 100 g. salmon
– 100 g. broccoli
– 100 g. baked carrots
– 100 g. spinach & mushrooms
– Ketchup

Late night snack (8:30pm)
– 2 pcs Wasa rye crisp bread w. butter, cheese & jam
– Fresh fruit salad made of strawberries, blueberries and pineapple


Workout log:

7:30-8:30 am:
Hatha yoga with client.

11 am:
– 1 hour powerwalk on treadmill lvl. 3,5-5,5 with 6 km/h.
– Quick booty/leg pyramid: Superset of banded barbell squats & banded good mornings
Reps: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

I did 1-7 unbroken, and then took short rests between sets until I reached 5 on the way back down. From here I continued unbroken again, until finished.
Weight: 20 kg barbell & CW booty builder size S.

I rarely do pyramid workouts as I mentally find them very challenging, but today I  was very short on time and I just wanted to do something that would challenge me and push me, but in a very short time frame. And for that, this superset was perfect!
