My Morning Ritual | Meditation Journal

If you’ve followed my blog for years, you will have seen my meditation journal before. I used to write in it a few years back, but have been taking a break until I recently felt a need to work on my own healing again.

I take a bit of time every morning to meditate and reflect with the journal. Every day it asks me to set my intentions, answer a thought-provoking question and write a daily note to myself. It’s a liberating feeling, to be able to write down my thoughts and feelings on paper, and because there’s a new question to be asked every day, I’m pushed to reflect on new areas of my healing and emotional evolution. In a positive way.

What’s even better is reading my old entries from 2 years ago, when I was last using this diary. I’m saddened to see that my struggles are the same, but my words to myself are so powerful that they give me strength to persevere, even though it’s not easy right now.

This might all sound heavy but so is my heart. And having a safe place to be open and honest with myself is amazing.
I’ve learned not to hold my feelings in, as they will eat me up and make me miserable. Instead I let my feelings guide me to new levels of self-discovery through meditation.

      Hej du,
      Det er lidt kompliceret at forklare kort her. Men det er en form for meditation kaldet Kirtan.
      Jeg mediterer med et mantra som jeg chanter indeni, imens jeg fokuserer på det tredje øje mellem øjenbrynene. Mit mantra er blot “Om”.

      Jeg skal nok uddybe i et blogindlæg på et senere tidspunkt. Ellers kan du prøve at se, og der er et Sivananda yogacenter i nærheden af hvor du bor, de plejer at undervise i denne form for meditation.
